Hey there & welcome in.
Today I'd like to talk about how parts work & archetypes have played such a crucial role in the elevation of consciousness, emotional embodiment, and awakening of life force- both in my journey and my clients and confidants.
Divine Being- my name is Lauren Bruno and I’m a Spiritual Coach & Creative Director who supports heart-led entrepreneurs build internal trust through sacred sexuality & amplify creativity in their communities via events, branding, and entertainment.
When we talk about the concept of Parts Work - we start to understand the roles that our sub-personalties play within our subconscious psyche. We accept both the negative and positive aspects that we see in ourselves and other people in order to feel more whole and complete. Think- less projection, subjection and more protection, reflection.
Carl Jung, utilized parts work which helped with his extensive research on the process of individuation- which means that nothing outside of you will fulfill you until you realize everything outside of you is coming from what's inside of you. This is how we move from Self Awareness, to Self Realization, to Self Actualization.
Self awareness is an awakening to the divine nature of your highest self, it is an recognition that you are not this mind or body- you are the awareness of it. Once you become aware, you begin to self realize which is the process of tapping into higher states of consciousness through commitment and practice of stillness, chakra healing, inner child reparenting, past life regression, emotional regulation, faith building etc. There are many tools that will support your personal authenticity, elevation, and empowerment. After Self Realization occurs, comes Self-Actualization which are the many purposes that have been imprinted on your soul before you incarnated in this life and that you carry through by trusting in a higher power, by serving others, and by being grateful.
If you are all and nothing at soul level, it means that you are even those that hurt you. You are those that heal you. You are those that provoke you. You are those that inspire you. Think about it like this- In a movie or a play, there is usually a Protagonist, Villian, and Guide. We admire the hero, yet only because they are usually an underdog. Their problems created the fuel for their evolution, the acknowledgment of their gifts. We always root for the underdog, because they come out stronger and better than we could have ever even imagined. Same goes for you and the embodiment of your emotional totality. Embodiment is the idea that the body and its interactions with the environment shape the mind.

As our consciousness expands and contracts through our own emotional regulation- we can have a lot of fun playing with the archetypal characters that create a personality. Because you are more than identity, as the Great I Am, anything your ego identifies with is not your true nature. The true nature comes from the hearts wisdom of experiential learning, growth, and change.
In depth psychology, it wasn't only Jung that explored these archetypes. The tarot explored them, Tibetan buddhism, Hindu Goddesses, Deities, Greek Mythology, The Bible and in my experience- Past-Life Regression (otherwise known as Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique) is what helped me to embody more perspectives, personalities, and characters within my story.
Archetypes can greatly help us to play with the soliloquy of our character. It can give us a positive spin to changing who we thought we were. It can help us to understand deeper self reflection and intimacy with ourselves. It can build our story arc in this movie of life. And it can absolutely free our spirit to not take ourselves or this journey so seriously, especially when heavy emotions may come up as we are processing. Suffering isn't the absence of negativity or negative emotion, suffering is the identification with the negativity as being who you are. When emotions flow freely, so do your bliss states. When you tap into deeper levels of yourself- you expand the higher levels of your sacredness.

As Shakespeare states in Hamlet, "To be, or not to be, that is the question. Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer. The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune. Or to take arms against a sea of troubles, And by opposing end them? To die: to sleep; No more; and by a sleep to say we end the hearth ache and the thousand natural shocks."
JESUS, that's deep. Think about it like this, the state of "being" isn't controlling anything, it is a surrender to all that is. The programming imprinted through marketing, propaganda, and hypnotic suggestions may cause you to believe that suffering makes you a nobler person. Yet what does it mean to suffer? It is an attachment to an illusory, fictitious world. Hamlet suggests that maybe it's better to die than it is to live. To sacrifice yourself for a cause greater than you, being more important to live in an endless search of experiencing falsity. Perhaps a death to the ego, the lower mind and an initiation to the souls high heart.
And that question is what keeps us craving depth, in who we are and what we came here for.
I saw someone post on Facebook the other day, What's the point? I answered Bullseye. To find the center core, the truth of the matter, matter being that you were brought here for a purpose. For a unique truth and point of view. Your lens and the way you see the world is like no other, and to find that out it requires some digging into your subconscious.
I've hosted about a dozen or more Archetypal Artist workshops these past couple of years - and they all include improvisation along with spiritual alchemy. The reason I love this as a form of therapy is because you are unveiling and facing aspects of yourself you've never explored before. This is great for both children and our inner children. It allows us to take a look at emotions we may have pushed away, through the lens of another identity.

For example- what does your inner villain look like? What does their voice sound like? Are they critical or serene? Are they smooth and charismatic or controlling and manipulative? Are they selfishly devoted to something? Or are they selflessly creating their own demise? When you get a chance to play with this aspect being a part of you, and play with it- you'll see it's not as bad as you thought it was. You'll see that if you can become what scares you, it has much less power over you. And then Miss/Mister Villain, make a theme song about how pissed you are that your dominions aren't following your lead? Let it come out of your subconscious without overthinking. This is where people hesitate, yet when they move forward, they come to understand they actually like this part of them. Or at least they are ok with it, so they don't let it unconsciously run their lives. And when you can empathize and become aware of what was holding you back, you become less critical and more conscious.
That's the reason Parts Work and Archetypes help us to embody more of ourselves. It helps us to have a little more fun with emotional intelligence, empathy, compassion, maturity, and personality. And it frees our spirit to be more of who we are, purposefully so we can live a life that drives us and keeps us hungry to learn more about our inner world- the good, the bad, the ugly, and the gorgeous glow that emanates when you awaken to the divinity of all of you.
If this is something that interests you, feel free to book a call and we can see if our missions align to elevate consciousness.
